Dopo il suo ultimo brano "You’re Always Here", rilasciato per omaggiare la morte di suo padre nel 2013, e ben 2 album tra cui "Guilty Pleasure" risalente al 2009, Ashley ha una ha rivelato una notizia che farà gioire i suoi fans.
Infatti tramite delle interviste per MTV News e E! News, l'artista ha confermato che sta lavorando a nuova musica , ma che almeno per il momento, non ha deciso quando essa sarà rilasciata al grande pubblico. Ha anche aggiunto che il nuovo progetto sarà sicuramente pop, ma senza elementi rock (punto forte del precedente). A sostituirli molto probabilmente ci sarà la dance.
La stessa ha anche affermato la sua insicurezza verso il risultato finale, ma ha solamente intenzione di fare ciò che realmente gli pace fare, ovvero creare nuova musica. Di seguito potrete vedere le parole dette da lei:
"I’m still trying to find exactly where I want to go with that. I’ve been heading towards a specific direction and I think that’s where I’m going to be. It’s obviously still pop and we’ve been playing with more dance pop. My last album was pop rock, so I definitely kind of have been more into the dancier type of pop songs. It’s definitely heavily pop for sure. I don’t even know if I’m just going to do singles or do an album. It’s really just me going into the studio and doing what I love. I’ve been inspired to start doing music again. I’ve been really excited to be back in the studio and figuring out what that next sound is. But I definitely missed it and I’m having a lot of fun with it, so we will see"
Intanto, secondo alcuni rumor, Ashley ha intenzione di rilasciare un nuovo singolo tramite la sua label Warner Music e sarà intitolato "Kiss Me Now". Esso potrebbe essere rilasciato il 15 Febbraio sugli store musicali.
