AGGIORNAMENTO: Sono stati confermati i primi performers della serata. A salire sul palco degli American Music Awards ci saranno gli One Direction, , Selena Gomez, 5 Seconds Of Summer, Carrie Underwood, WALK THE MOON, Demi Lovato, Nick Jonas, Meghan Trainor con Charlie Puth e Luke Bryan con Karen Fairchild.
Si aggiungono inoltre: i Coldplay, Gwen Stefani e Macklemore & Ryan Lewis che canteranno un brano inedito. Ariana Grande porterà sul palco il nuovo singolo "Focus" mentre The Weeknd canterà "The Hills".
Tra i performers si aggiungerà anche la cantante canadese Celine Dion che tributerà le vittime dell'attentato di Parigi che ha scosso l'intero mondo interpretando uno dei classici della nota Edith Piaf "Hymne à L'amour". A confermalo è stato il produttore della cerimonia Larry Klein presso i microfoni di Billboard:
" Penso che sia molto importante dimostrate la nostra solidarietà alla luce dei recenti eventi accaduti a Parigi e in tutto il mondo, la performance di Celine ci aiuterà esprimere il nostri sentimenti attraverso una canzone, dove le parole non basteranno".
A chiudere lo show ci sarà Justin Bieber che si esibirà con un medley delle sue ultime hit!
Invece si esibiranno sul red carpet durante il pre-show: Shawn Mendes, Alessia Cara, Francesco Yates e Gabi Wilson
