Lo show arrivato alla sua quarta edizione, ha deciso di introdurre 5 nuove categorie per premiare i nuovi artisti del panorama musicale Pop, RnB, Hip Hop, Country, Rock/ Alternative.
A dominare le nominations c'è Drake con 12 e i Chainsmokers con 11.
In questi momenti sono stati confermati anche una serie di artisti che saliranno sul palco per intrattenere il pubblico. Oltre al già confermato Bruno Mars, si aggiunge alla lista di performers Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran, i Chainsmokers, Big Sean, Shawn Mendes, Noah Cyrus e Thomas Rhett.
