Molte star del pop sono salite sul palco per rendere la serata davvero molto speciale: ad aprire lo show ci ha pensato la band britannica Coldplay con Hymn For The Weeknd, per la prima volta nella storia dell'Award Show si è esibito Justin Bieber con un medley di Love Yourself, con James Bay alla chitarra, e di Sorry. Medley anche per la nuova stella del pop britannico Jess Glynne che ha incantato la platea con una performance vocale impeccabile, mentre per promuovere il suo nuovo album ANTi, Rihanna si è esibita sulle note di Consideration con la rapper SZA e della hit Work insieme al rapper Drake con alle spalle una scenografia molto particolare.
Tra i performer ci sono stati anche The Weeknd con The Hills, James Bay e le Little Mix.
A chiudere lo show sulle note di When We Were Young, secondo singolo estratto dal suo bestseller 25 è stata la protagonista indiscussa della serata, Adele, onorata con il premio Global Success Award per il suo grande contributo nell'industria musicale inglese e vincitrice di ben 3 Brit Awards: Best British Female Solo Artist, British Single e Mastercard British Album of The Year.
Anche i Brit Awards non hanno esitato a omaggiare il grande artista David Bowie con il premio Icon Award e un discorso sostenuto dall'artista Annie Lennox, e da Gary Oldman, amico della star scomparsa, che hanno fatto da introduzione a una performance emozionate di Life On Mars cantata da Lorde.
